I am feeling like that today. Absolutely perfect weather outside, leaves falling, college football and it’s a Saturday! I should be enjoying it. Don’t you think? It’s tough when there are so many things to do all at once. And soon, the holidays and all of their splendor and pomp are upon us. Along with every type of party and celebration imaginable. Throw in work, family life…well you all get the picture. Not telling you anything you don’t already know or experience…only so much time on my hands and I just don’t know where to start!!
I decided to take a cue from one of my favorite speakers, Dave Cornell. Dave spoke about fear and the paralyzing effect it can have on us. How it keeps us from trying new things, stretching ourselves. Never really trying…”just hangin out in the road like deer blinded by the light of the on-coming vehicles. Until, Bam!…it hits us. It’s over.” The party never got started. We never took any action. As the Big Bald Guy with the Big Bold Message told us:
“See the boulder in the road and instead of trying to move the entire piece of granite all at once, chip away a little at a time.
Uncover the inner cracks of your personal boulder,
keep chipping away until those pieces finally bring the boulder
Thanks, Dave! That’s what I am going to do.
